Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cut the wire to make it shorter?
No. Cutting the silver wire will break the electrical circuit and cause the entire light string to stop working. We recommend coiling any excess wire neatly instead of cutting it.
Is the entire product waterproof?
No. Only the silver wire part with the LED lights is IP65 waterproof and can be submerged in water or used in rain. The clear USB plug contains electronics and is NOT waterproof; it must be kept dry at all times.
Do I need to point the remote directly at the lights?
Yes, the remote uses IR (infrared) technology. You need to point the remote controller towards the USB plug (receiver) with a clear line of sight for it to work effectively.
